Colony War 3.5: How was it?

After a long time that I've witnessed how the Colony Wars go and now a new system was introduced in this current patch and the mechanics was far more different than the conventional one. The first Colony Wars was like go to the map that has a colony and then break til it's HP reach to zero and accompanied by you can warp between occupied colonies through colony manager. The second change for Colony Wars was they remove the warp between occupied colonies which members of a faction should maximize the usage of save warps.

So what's new in this Colony War? Granado Espada version 3.5 features the new colony war system by putting up a special arena to occupy a colony. Well its far different from the old one but all I can say is it was really time consuming. But in the brighter side, that tedious time occupying a colony gives other faction a chance to occupy another territory. Unfortunately in my case, I was with a faction versus the server so occupying a colony was rough for us.

Well to sum up all of this, its more of head to head battle inside a colony arena. But if you have numerous declarations over your faction slate, those factions who declared your faction can enter the colony arena. And to occupy a colony, you have to break at least 3 colonies inside the Colony War Arena. They say the new system is boring because you run and break but I don't agree with it because alliances still creates horrendous effects on Colony Wars. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers.

When Adelina loses her touch

I guess it was the 14th of July the Hron's Treasure Trove has been introduce to our fellow pioneers through this Official News Article. Upon reading this article, I really find it awkward and I'm sure there is something wrong with this one.

Then I read the forums and I found this interesting thread but first it was the usual thread. You know IAH announces then give a discussion link related to the news. But it turns out to be a negative feedback from most of the players who read the article.

In this cut, it turns out to be that Adelina's Booty Search will eventually die or will be re-invented for the reason that it was "in-effective" as quoted from our IAH team. But I guess it is more heavier for player to waste some points just to throw their luck on this items that has no outmost definition of "at least enjoying the game content".

For now its a head to head combat for Adelina's Booty Search and Hron's Treasure Trove. But I do hope Adelina's Booty Search will still emerge victorious so even though most of the players cannot be the best in their game at least they will enjoy the patch content. Suggestion: Costume over items

I've been reading the official forums of SEA Granado Espada and there are some topics that really caught my attention and I think it makes sense. Granado Espada has vibrant back costumes lately though it has no special stats unlike the well used premium back wings Lucifer and Devil that gives you additional stats. Here are their suggestions from the official forums of SEA Granado Espada.

For now I am with the idea of putting additional equipment slot for back costume. But if I think about the IAH's side, they might say not most of the players are not using the premium back item Lucifer and Devil wings so there is no point of putting another slot for costume over an item. Well if this suggestion work it'll be nice to see pioneers enjoying their back costumes along with their premium wings. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers!

Operation "N"

After some week of intriguing advertisement at the official web site of SEA Granado Espada, the quoted Operation "N" has been revealed and it seems that most of the pioneers loved it.

Operation "N" gives reward to those pioneers who made it to the tier of level 20 and 25 on their family level. The reward enclosed for level 20 family are; 1 Hrin Liquor, 10 Triumph Filler, 10 Mystic Ampule, 10 Soul Crystals, 50 Progressive Health-Fillers, 50 Progressive Soul-Fillers, 1 Ancient Shelter Pass, 1 Field Survival Manual Master(1 day), 1 Combat Manual Expert (1 day), 1 Tactics Manual Expert (1 day), 3 Noble's Court - Knight (permanent back costume), and you are granted a rank of Knight. Then if your family attained 25 family level you can get 3 Noble's Court - Righteous Knight (flag that increases DEF rating by 1 in 30 days) and granted a rank of Righteous Knight.

In my case my family level is at 25 with 3 additional family level due to faction. So first I claim the Knight rank rewards which is level 20 family reward. And lastly I claim the Righteous Knight rewards through the noble officers located in each key cities. So it means if you met the family level 20 and beyond you get the rewards for this Operation "N" event. And its confirmed for example if your family level is 17 then you have additional 3 levels from your faction that will give you a total of level 20 family level, you are entitled to get the family level 20 reward. So pioneers race your family level and earn the rewards as Knights. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers!

Okay am sick today and not really feeling well after yesterday's activity. And I hope something would cheer me up after all this ill feeling. But today something sheer my sad dry afternoon because of this!

Yup are freaking right! ABS (Adelina Booty Search) just updated their loot table with new items to offer our pioneers. This time it is better with less crap items unlike before. So to tease you more, I just made a roam around the new found world and take pictures of new costumes and items that was acquired through ABS. Ready?

The ABS loot table was really amazing and I should say a thumbs up to IAH because they eliminated the crap loot that most of the pioneer despised a lot. I hope that the pioneers of the new found world will be hyped to this new change. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers!

About the Event Tab

Many pioneers of the new found world is still asking how to use the event tab. I do hope that this small info will help you use the new feature with ease.

Unlike before certain in-game event such as; Battle Coliseum, Poison Yard and Secret Temple, you have to move to your barracks and warp to the nearest City for easy access on such events. Or another way is having a warp near the officer of these events. But now it is far different and it made things a lot easier.

As you see, when an event triggers all you have to do is press Alt + A to open the quest window. [1] Then you will see an Event Tab. By clicking it, you will see available events that are currently active in the given time. By checking the list on the tab you will see the levels of each instances and the location of the event where you suppose to warp. So if you are anticipating such event and you are in a different map just check the bottom left of the tab and click move. [2]By clicking the move button, a warp will open that leads to the selected event mission. In this example its the Poison Yard.

So pioneers, its easier to participate events right? Next time every event will be visited with ease and less worry of running back to towns close to the event's portal. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers!

Defence of the Zeia

The new patch of SEA Granado Espada has new features for this expansion. And one of the highlight in this patch are the in-game event most specially the popular ice breaker "DOTZ" also known as "Defence of the Zeia". You read it right, in relation to the popular strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment - Frozen Throne's "Defence of the Ancient". They have the same plot of game play and that is defending your base and taking down the enemy's.


I've played the event for the second time and somehow I already get used to it. DOTZ is pretty different because instead of buying equipments to improve your character, you get personal buff improvements and debuff against opponents. The game play was easy right? But think again.

In DOTA you might able to survive the 1st tower because it hits only one target. But in DOTZ, the tower throws chain lightning so its really hard for a start. Another is to earn gold in DOTZ and you have to pick it up. So if you are not that greedy enough, you know how to wait when to pick up because some players wait their opponent to loot then they kill. Nice strategy right? About the concept of killing other players for gold is different also. Because if a player got killed by another playing while holding gold coins in their inventory well it will drop on the floor. So the gold that drop is free to all so anyone could get it. To avoid it, better be killed by a pushing mob rather to be killed by a player to save your earned gold.

When your team successfully finished the whole game. You will be teleported somewhere in your base and group of treasure boxes will be summoned to earn prizes. Remember that treasure boxes are meant for each member and you cannot get more than what you can open. Well I hope that you guys try other events in this new expansion and most of all enjoy it. E-Games Domination 3: Short Time, Big Time!

In the dry afternoon of April 4, the small band of players from Takhisis Faction took the road to E-Games Domination III and we arrived with high expectation. And our expectations are met! Lets see why I said so.

In our arrival at the venue, we are surprised because the players who attend the event was more massive than last year. The line of people that leads to the entrance was long so they need to separate it to three lines and occupy a lot of space to accommodate more incoming people. Then after an hour we finally made it inside and the lights inside the hall made our tired body loosen up a bit. Then we approached the Granado Espada booth, familiar faces with new players embraced my sight and the feeling was good.

After a while I finally met the champion who secure his video for Pattaya and its non other than a fellow Filipino pioneer - exebolt! We manage to talk for some time, too bad I came late for the event so my time is too short for a talk.

Then one of the cool things to do in this event is taking pictures around with the Cosplayers who gives spice to the ambiance of the event. We are crazy enough to loiter around and take photos and that made our stay worthwhile.

After chasing around people and visiting various gaming booth, our stay was payed off when our faction was awarded through faction banner for second place. The first winner are from the faction of Pinoy All Stars of Rembrandt server. Thanks for the Cosplayer who cosplayed Chuckie the Granado Espada stage brightened up when he went up there and start entertaining us.


The Granado Espada activity was over and our small band decided to go outside and eat then off we go to our humble abode. But it was amazing to meet another old friend and mother to us during the first year of Granado Espada for the Philippine community.

It was our former Community Manager Veya! Currently she is working with another MMORPG handled by E-Games. I really miss those day that she manage to visit various area within the metro just to attend faction eye ball for Granado Espada. And I know she still do it in a more casual way by treating them as friends. To our former CM Veya thanks a lot!


I would like to take opportunity to thank the people behind this wonderful event. From the community managers, game masters, sponsors, cosplayers, and players who gave their time to make the event successful through participation. I hope next year more activities will be provided to numerous attendees and more players will be encouraged to join this great annual event of E-Games. To all the pioneers of the new found world, I congratulate you for showing your support to the Philippine community. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers!

Untamed Pioneers

Today I was camping at Treasure Golem's lair located at the far end of Tetra Golden Road. Well at least I got my self a Symbol of Taurus and I was happy to have one for vis purposes. Unfortunately some players from a distinguished faction accused me of reporting that player as a bot. Which he is trying to imply I'm abusing the feature just to win against the feebled Treasure Golem. Then these players trash talking me and insulting me, but I told them if you have evidence that I report him as bot then insult me further. In the end of the conversation they say nothing but useless statement displaying their arrogant behavior in-game. This example could be an isolate case but many players suffer from these players who came from spending faction. They look others below them in regardless of what they want to say against a player without being careful. I've heard many cases relevant to this, players who are offended sent a complain to IAH management but they couldn't take further action to this arrogant players because they are alleged spenders of the game so the offended players claim that they maybe immune to punishment. I hope there are no special treatment on this players that doesn't help the community build friendship accross countries. Because if this things further happen, division among players will be established and players will start to hate each other. To pioneers who still play the game, if you came accross arogant players such I encountered try to be patient because they might ruin your day. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers.

sGE current state - Continue?

By far best Granado Espada is one of the most impressive MMORPG and there are good and bad points of the game. There are certain issues in-game and there are forseeable crisis on the game aspect and culture. I'll give you some issues and most points are from collective statements of players of Granado Espada SEA.


Third Party Program/Bots
Congratulations to IAH and IMC for successfully dumping the bot population for almost three weeks. Unfortunately there are some who are not in favor about it and some minority of non-botter alas for it. In my personal opinion the GEC (GE Crazy) is not completely getting rid off. Macro users says its unfair because this script saves them real money instead of spending it for GEC. If you will see the climate of players, its more of if you want to keep on phase of the game use GEC. This issue is very sensitive to every MMORPG thus there should be a system that must be implemented which favors every type of user.


In-game Items
It was a blessing that everyone gets the advantage of acquiring elite 92 armor recipe through ABS (Adelina Booty Search). But there are things that spoils the game, Dragon Heart Recipe (DHR) start spawning the ABS turning King of Greed useless. Even the latest ingredient Ti/Te and other runes only found in Zeia are now loots from ABS. Better yet they throw Serpent and Chess series instead rather that hurting the economy badly. Its like more of "I have tons of money no need to explore the game". Well for some opinions thrown by the so-called "All-knowing" forum lurkers, they say it opens opportunity to those who can't explore the game. I say its wrong, motivation of spoon feeding is more I likely to hear. They always say dominant faction always get the good stuff. Again its a wrong statement, because they raid for it with efforts of catching up time with numerous Boss. The forum lurkers of Granado Espada actually haven't tried camping Boss for a straight week, so reading to their "All-knowing" post is completely non-sense and irrelevant to those players who knows how to raid. Unfortunately the tide of trade in my server is more of Premium Item equal to a certain in-game item well that includes G-Points code.


Dimnishing number of Players
Contributory factory of the game was the two points above mentioned. Another one that crack the balls of GE supporters are lack of effort from local distributors in terms of advertisement. Many times this issue has been raised for almost two years and there are no visible efforts from the local distributors. In the case of Philippine community, most common answer to this is they cannot further keep the phase of the game. Spending become essential to the game, unlike other MMORPG they can still keep up the phase with optional spending. For example everyone can get a certain item that is reputable in-game through means of raiding and farming. Then premium items only count because of further enhancement. Well in my personal opinion this idea is good, unfortunately IMC nerfed some important drops that is essential for crafting. In my experience Snail skins and Chess pieces were like in the whole 12 hours of playing I only acquire 1-2 pieces. Take note that is not everyday, it always drop to luck and you need 30 pieces of it to create a reputable weapon in-game. In short this will take you a life time, and to cut this life time you spend more to get these in Adelina Booty Search. The game is fast phased and at least IMC should reconsider un-nerf drop rates of items necessary for crafting. And players became tasteless to this system in-game which really force players to shed away.


Fortunately sGE has not that much to rant about but the fact that the most essential parts of every MMORPG was strafed; In-game items, botting, players, and premium items. I still believe in SEA Granado Espada and the management that holds it. I hope they should see these point because the things they thought was good sometimes cause backfire to the game itself. The second year of Granado Espada SEA is near hope things will turn up a lot better. Til again I'll keep you posted pioneers.

Narblem

I was really happy and accomplished that I acquired the character Nar and included him in my barracks. But unfortunately after all the extravagant introduction of Nar for the Zeia expansion, his blunt was forgotten by the developer. I was training him at Rion Prairie when I realize he cannot equip a sword and his blunt is currently level 60. So that means I have to wait for a pain in the ass level 84 to somehow equip him with the next blunt weapon which is the shaft hammer. Well just an observation if you are using third party program you may not identify this mistake. Then again I admire the fight of IAH and IMC against botting. Impressive?

Yesterday I hate how things go. First I consider mine as "isolated case" but the idea is not all players can throw Ancient Territory passes everyday because of this abrupt maintenance. If I'm not mistaken, the original announcement was like one hour server reset due to blah blah. Well case is closed because they've done it already and what can players ask? Nothing at all.

One of the things that caught my attention are the community crews in the official forum thread. Isn't that annoying after some replies from the community crew, they actually reply to the thread, and at the end the captain will suddenly close the thread. Okay everything has its explanation but I do hope they consider assigning people for moderation and whatsoever because they are too many.

And today around 16:44, we are in the middle of King of Greed raid when suddenly we cannot access server. Oh well at least the resumed it after 5 mins, Then after that I could not warp to other maps. Well its up for our technical people at IAH to work on things. As for you pioneers avoid 1 day activated premium items due to this sudden disconnection.

Things that made the New Year Right

Well I admit New Year hang over is quite messy when embracing the new year. And as for Rembrandt there are cool things to be known. First stop, the official announcement of the new community crew who resides from Rembrandt server. Next is the execution of Novia wherein the allied faction Eminence and Symbols Faction impressively defeated the nemesis of the Ice Wizard's Tower. Blood donation drive also took place in Singapore and help lives through this glorious act but the pioneers also have something in hand, GE goodies! Another thing is, the GM's made their first in-game event called Trivial Question and Answer wherein the pioneers will respond to questions using microphones to broad their answer. And for those pioneers craving for item of the month, IAH made an extension til 30th of January. And congratulations to Destiny Faction for making the first sunday of January, because they hold the highest colony point after an exhausting war. Lastly, the hidden civilization of Zeia is on its way to the new found world so are you ready for this?

A Farewell to 2008!

I can't believe that another year ended and am thankful that most of the things in-game progressed but some things were not. Base on my collective conversation with players through messenger and through in-game, there are popular events that most pioneers could not forget.

January - In this month the Fantazzztic Film Awards competition continues, Project Hostile Takeover event, Valentines Day Event, and E-Card Challenge took place this first month of 2008.

February - The Fantazzztic Film Awards competition continues as they trimmed down the most deserving entries for next March's final showdown. Events like; Love Me, Date with a GM, Fortune Master's Bok-Jo-Ris, and year of Ararat put the pioneers into quests and some exposure through the regions of Bahamas.

March - This month formaly introduced Girl Gamers of the new found world through the official web site that was originally organized at the Philippines to give support to our girl gamers. In addition the Fantazzztic Film Awards ended and determined the champions and all entries hailed from the players themselves in the Philippines.

April - Real life event like the E-Games domination overwhelmed the pioneers of the Philippines. Thanks to RCM Hrin by visiting the pioneers of the Philippine community. Other in-game events like Colony Wars: The Reckoning, Return of the Dark Lord, April Fools, Garage Sale, and Town invation keep the pioneers busy for this month.

May - The community celebrates with Australia and New Zealand and premium item promotions was released by this month.

June - Version 2.6 was further introduced specially in the real life events in the Philippines along with Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia with respective events. In addition the new found world celebrates the independence day of the Philippines and Singapore hosts the Carnival Draw event.

July - RNPC event by Vicente Rio himself amassed the pioneers through winning his in-game costume if you reach veteran level cap for Rio. The event like Friday Knights kept the pioneer's pvp skill to the challenge. Real life events in Malaysia was included this month through PvP Challenge and Live GE KAC electronic sport event.

August - The community captains and GM in-game made some visits in each server to organize in-game events. The result of community screen competition was also released this month.In addition another real life event in Cebu, Philippines was included in the list of events.

September - Back to back PvP hosted at Singapore and the Philippines kept the pioneer's pvp skill intact.

October - The worlds tremble when the servers Cervantez, Carracci, Caravaggio, Pachelbel, and Vivaldi was officially merged. PK servers became Bach and Non-PK servers became Rembrandt. The Philippine GE community celebrates their 1st anniversary through a Black Party.

November - A month long colony wars started, stating that distinguished colony has a corresponding price when occupied by a faction. GM event Pet Day was also took place along with Route A La Domination. RNPC Claire and Calyce was also introduced to the new found world and don't forget the good news for the Filipino pioneers who long for higher conversion of G-Points to E-Points.

December - Christmas events like Naughty and Nice event and Show your love kept the pioneers busy to express their Christmas greetings through creative works of art. IAH also announced a PH community outing organized by the players itself. Not to mention the introduction to Zeian was started so the pioneers of the new world will sought after this amazing expansion this January.


The year was tough and full of laughters. But in the end of the day we still share the community and the game we've enjoyed for almost two years. Til again, Happy new year to the pioneers of the new found world!

Well all in all the war of the factions is a total mess, the essence of defending and attacking colonies are insignificant in this event. It's more of I break the colony, then I will spam a horde of spinelles and lets see if you can withstand the lag and abrupt disconnection. This is considered abuse and I hope again they will reconsider removing this spinelle on those bellem boxes sold at the item NPCs. Eitherway, congratulations to all colony holders and I'll keep you posted pioneers!

GM Event: Nov 29th

Yesterday's event was somehow expected due to same set up though am expecting development inside the GM's Lair. RCM Hrin and GM Heaven appeared at the City of Auch channel 1 around 15:30 with a notice to give hint that they will be having an event today.

After 10-15 mins, they summon the event gate, but before hand the pioneers were told that if there are known bugs, feedback are entertained for the improvement of the said event zone.

The red error boxes are still there along with the huge void room but as usual the method of killing bosses like Lava leaf, Novia, etc. are still the same. Then after killing some event boss, wisps will appear so the pioneers will get loot from it.

At the end of the event GM Heaven informed the pioneers that in their miscellaneous tab there is an event ticket wherein you could exchange for rewards. And by having one you are permitted to click huge treasure chest and get your reward. Base on what I got along with others, three pieces of level 100 enhancement chip was given to each ticket surrendered to the huge treasure chest. Unfortunately there are some pioneers who abuse it. How? My friend told me you just reconnect back to Auch then enter the Event Zone portal. So if you could do it many times, you can be rewarded more than the reward of three level 100 chips.

Personally GM Heaven was nice this time because he bothers to say good-bye before he left the event. Thanks also to RCM Hrin by showing up at the event. But I hope next time, GM's should chat ban those irresponsible and arrogant pioneers who insults and use profanity inside the event.

I know the pioneers are looking forward of seeing improve events in the future. So pioneers again I'll keep you posted.

How was everything?

Looking back at May 6, 2008 article entry from my previous faction blog site I began to miss the good old days. The days that we are plainly happy that if we got a colony, its a big accomplishment to us as a faction. But now, i saw my fellow Filipino pioneers who are players and friends in real life fell like dried leaves. By the beard of Lyndon! They are quitting progressively in numbers!


Now these are the things I've realized:
1. As a Filipino player of Granado Espada, it's really hard to compete economic-wise. Why? G-Points at Singapore were sold cheaper and Filipino players must spend twice the price on everything. In short Singapore players have full access on everything. So its really considered are Singapore server and not quoted as Southeast Asia server anymore. So personally I accept that fact.

2. The AR/DR system gives great gap on everything. In short, again spend more so you will augment your equipments along with your characters to keep up.

3. I am happier with a faction that has good people inside rather than being put into the pedastal as a faction but the consequences were worst. And besides inside a big faction is just killing the curiousity of having seeing and getting better equipments but in the end all of these will be good as digital dust.


There will be sudden turn in my personal gaming, I rather to choose to have my gaming life back. I'll keep you posted pioneers.

GM Event: Pet Day

Pet on the block!

Novia summoned and ready to rumble

Today I made it through the Pet Day event, the GM was found at Jezebel Glen. Then after a while the GM summon us to event room. There we fought Novia, Vergo, (2x) Lava Leaf, and (2x) Griffon. Every time they die, wisps will appear and there you get loots. Unfortunately, the most decent loot was an Elite 84 Robe with 3DR option. And the sad part was the GM left without saying even a simple good bye. Anyway the idea for this kind of event was nice and further improvement will be expected by the pioneers of the new found world. So again, I'll keep you posted.

Adelina's Booty new loots!

Yup you are looking at one of the Elite 92 armors of the new found world. And you have the chance to grab their recipes and craft it. The new update was stated at the official Granado Espada forums and the news was announced at the Granado Espada site. So this are the official loot table for the improved Adelina's Booty Search.

Well I do hope that the crap elite 52 armors, weapons, watermelon skins, etc will be removed on the list because it is pure annoyance while doing searches. And in addition this a good move for IAH/IMC because it can further decrease hording players within servers and giving progressive solution to the inflating market of Granado Espada SEA.
